07-08-2010 - Shapes & Colours

Download (Right-click + Save Link As): 1:00:42 - 30mb

Tonight's show focused on Shapes & Colours.

I kicked things off by talking about colour-blindness, the regular kind of blindness, and sound-colour synethesia.

We heard a short story from Peter White, in which he painted a picture with words! Sports Guy Steve was too tired to talk about the World Cup and Chris Bosh, so instead I explained the history behind the Spanish, Dutch and Canadian flags. I also played tape recorded on the streets of Ottawa asking people their favourite colour and shape...what a lame question!

In the Moon Down Mailbag:
  • Dear Julien, why are there so few trapezoids in the world?
  • Dear Julien, why are stop signs red octagons?
  • Dear big-headed radio host, what shape is life?
