11-05-2009 - Swine Flu Funding Drive Special

Stream: Podomatic - 1:52:13
Download: Download - 52mb - 1:52:13

My alter-ego, the Moon Dog, was in studio feeling ill for our Swine Flu Funding Drive Special!

Stephanie, lead singer of the band Canned Funk, dropped by to promote 'Caution (Remix)' and took a couple calls about the band's upcoming Euro-Tour.

A long-time caller said the swine flu vaccine is a conspiracy being funded by General Motors.

We played my funding drive ad from last year, and talked about where all the funding drive money is going. Some of the items we have purchased are: an A-Frame Ladder, a hammer, some aerosal spray, a jackhammer, and some motorcycles to name a few. We also let Sigmund Freud's Robotic Android make a couple phoney phone calls.

In the second hour, we played an episode of The Strange Dr. Weird, which was about lifting weights, apes, and tommy guns.

Special thanks goes out to my sisters Celine, Elise, and my Mom for donating to the show and the station.

10-29-2009 - The Halloween Show

Stream: Podomatic - 1:57:22
Download: Download - 54mb - 1:57:22

The topic was Halloween, and I was fortunate enough to be joined by my girlfriend Stephanie. Stephanie came in to promote her band Canned Funk and their new single "Caution".

We talked about ghosts, sweeps of light, flashing lights, Halloween costumes, trick or treating and everything in between. We also played some Street Safe tracks and a 5 Minute Mystery.

Peter White discussed the history of Halloween, haunted houses, lightning, and raccoons.

On the phone we had Maggie call in to discuss her attempts at raising the dead, and Brendan from the Mixtape Marathon called in to say absolutely nothing.

We're in the middle of our Funding Drive, the station and the show desperately need your support, so if you can chip in a couple bucks, it's to a good cause: http://www.ckcufm.com/
