    Donate + Fulfill a (Grown) Child's Dream!!!

    Hey  _________ (you) , how's it going?

I'll make this message short and sweet. I have a radio show that you may or may not have heard of in the past. It's on Carleton U's campus station (CKCU 93.1FM in Ottawa).

The show (Moon Down Radio) is one of the few things that actually makes me happy. School is a soul-sucking p.o.s. waste of time, so I feel fortunate that every week, I can be somewhat creative, free to express whatever stupid thoughts or ideas are in my head, and also have some fun.

Unfortunately, this fun has a price...approximately 110 000 bucks! I'm a volunteer, and so are 99% of people related to the station, but in order to pay rent, electricity, royalties, FM license, etc, we need cash money!

So far I've raised $97, and need to raise another $103 this week.

This is where you come in. If you can chip in $5, $10...anything, I would greatly appreciate it. If you decide to donate, I hope to one day repay you, one way or another...if you have something to promote, I'd be more than glad to get the word out through the show...or if you need someone to do some dishes...that can probably be arranged too. I will come through on this...I am a man of my word (sorta). Mostly. Definitely.

Thanks in advance for any and all support!

Brian AKA the BK AKA Brainz was in studio to help with the phones (which were ringin' off da hook). Last weekend I hit up Zombie Walk 2010 to find out how zombies like their brains served, which family member they would eat first, and what zombies miss most about Bill Cosby.

    10-21-2010 - Politics

    Download (Right-click + Save Link As): 2:26:20 - 68mb

Conservatives and Liberals both agree on one thing: politics are a lot more exciting on Moon Down Radio!

Off the top of the show, we heard from mayoral candidate Charlie Taylor. He told us about how he got started in politics, his experiences on the campaign trail, and why he is the right man for the job!

Charlie also stayed on the line to play a little Question/Answer. We found out Charlie doesn't drink coffee, won't resort to mudslinging, and thinks Mike Maguire "is the only other intelligent candidate running."

Political scientist Adam Norton joined me in studio for the remainder of the night, as we discussed:
People speak out on the streets!
    • Would you smoke a joint with Stephen Harper?
    • "Obama needs to have a little Bush inside of 'em"
    • "Legalize marijuana!"
    • Stephen Harper's Biography: "Prime Minister in the 21st Century"
    • Who would win in a fight: Obama or Harper?
I also found some time to play some Messages to the Prime Minister, Phil Davison crank calls, and Peter White explained why he voted for the communist party.

    Download (Right-click + Save Link As): 56:32 - 53mb

The band 'mouth' was in studio to promote their debut album, Could You Lie To A Camera?

Caylie, Rory, Dylan and Elliot talked about recording the album, how to write a song, phone providers, and played a couple songs live on the air.

    Elliot and Rory

Rory left midway through the show to get a soda, but got locked out of the studio, so the remaining three members of the band tackled the thunder round by themselves.

    Dylan and Caylie

Finally, Rachel, a big fan of the band, called in all the way from Vancouver to find out if her CD got lost in the mail, and to complain about the yellowpages.
