01-28-2010 - TK and The Fire Show

Download (Right-click + Save Link As): 1:48:42 - 50mb

I started off the show by revealing we had a brand new theme song. The song's composer, TK Dallman, was on the phone from Toronto for the world premiere. We talked about his inspiration for the theme song, played some Question/Answer, and even let Simon Cowell add in his two cents.

Then it was on to the main event, The Fire Show. I referenced a couple articles in the Ottawa Citizen about recent blazes in the city, and talked about fire safety and fire prevention, before testing our in-studio smoke detector. As always we checked out some of my poetry from the Cliche Cafe.

I went on to cover the history of the Yule Log on TV, the annual Viking Festival in the Shetland Islands, last year's Burning Man, my favourite episode of Celebrity Apprentice. and the dangers of having a computer firewall.

I had time to play some Crazy Crazy Craigslist, talk about my ongoing Hair Loss, and reveal some more of my little sister's diary entries.

01-21-2010 - The Flight Show

Download (Right-click + Save Link As): 1:48:00 - 50mb

This was The Flight Show!

I kicked things off with my poetry set from last night at the Cliche Cafe, located in the heart of the Byward Market.

I was fortunate enough to get a hold of Dan Quinn on the line, and we discussed:
  • Stevia
  • Pure H2O as Spaceship Fuel
  • The Violin
  • The "Play"
  • Beating up 5 people at Juanita's in Encinitas
  • and much more!!!
Actually, Dan Quinn hung up the phone a few minutes into the interview after I mentioned him making telemarketer calls. Dan Quinn thought I was trying to "clown" on him. Long live Maitreya.

I played a few old Dan Quinn phony phone calls, my lame Dan Quinn parody song and some new Gary Calls.

In the second hour, I recalled some Great Moments in Air Traffic Control. I also reported on my hair loss, revealed a few more of my sister's diary entries, and promoted As-Seen-On-TV product, the 'Bird Blender'.

Speaking of family, we played another segment featuring my little sister: Elise's Diary. At around 1AM we took some time out to track my ongoing Hair Loss. We even found some time to play some Crazy Crazy Craiglist, and tried to figure out the meaning of the ad titled 2 Frenchies.

Finally, we revealed a brand new call-in game What Kind of Shoes Are You Wearing?

Download (Right-click + Save Link As): 1:54:32 - 53mb

Cold Opening: Stevie Wonder

This was The Baby Show!

We kicked things off with my poetry set from last night at the Cliche Cafe, located in the heart of the Byward Market.

Andrew from Smiths Falls called in to request a baby, and later on we played a song from his band Chillnote.

We revealed our Fop Five Least Used Baby Names:
  1. Turdy the Baby
  2. Michael
  3. Shambert
  4. Broomhilda
  5. Gurmanthamum
A lady called in to say that Shambert was actually a commonly used name. Finally, Turdy the Baby himself called in to the show, explaining the Polish origins of the name.

We explained How 2:
  • Deliver a Baby in an Emergency
  • Change a Diaper
And we also took some time to: Crack Some Children's Yolks (read lame jokes out of a book); replay my sister's first entries in Elise's Diary; recap the sport of Baby Punt; check out some Crazy Crazy Craigslist; and finally, we read an English and a French Bed Time Story.
